For sustained rain, begin with a product that is actually listed as waterproof. “Water resistant” is a different description and should not be silently upgraded. A windbreaker name identifies the garment type, but it does not by itself establish a waterproof rating.

Both the Dubliner and the Calvin Klein puffer include insulation language in their listings; the Adidas product is presented as a windbreaker. That distinction helps separate a warmth-focused choice from a lighter shell-shaped option without inventing temperatures or performance figures.
