Crocs Size Guide: Chart, Fit & How to Clean Them
How Crocs sizes work in Australia, a size chart with foot length in mm, what to do if you’re a half size, and how Crocs says to clean them.

The short answer: adult Crocs clogs come in whole US sizes labelled for men and women at once — M9W11 means men’s US 9 or women’s US 11. There are no half sizes, and Crocs’ Australian size chart says that if you usually wear a half size, you should order the next full size up.

Reading a Crocs size
Crocs’ unisex adult sizes carry two numbers, and both are US sizes. To convert them to Australian sizes:
- Women: the W number is your Australian size — Australian women’s sizes follow the US scale. W11 is an Australian women’s 11.
- Men: take one off the M number — Australian men’s sizes follow the UK scale, one below US. M9 is an Australian men’s 8.
So an Australian men’s 9 is a US men’s 10: order M10W12. Our shoe size conversion chart explains why the two scales differ.

How to choose between two sizes
Measure your foot from heel to the tip of your longest toe, in millimetres, and find the row it falls in. If you land between rows — or you normally wear a half size — Crocs’ own advice is to go up to the next full size. Measure both feet and use the longer one.

Kids’ Crocs sizes
Kids’ Crocs use a C (child) or J (junior) prefix. Junior sizes overlap with small women’s sizes — J3 is the same size as W5.

How to clean Crocs
Crocs’ own care advice depends on what the shoe is made of.
Classic Clogs, slides and other all-foam styles (Crocs’ Croslite material): hand wash or spot clean with mild soap and cold water, or use your washing machine’s gentle cycle.
Lined (fleece) styles: clean with mild soap and a damp rag, or use the gentle cycle with as little heat as possible.
Canvas and vegan-suede styles have their own, gentler instructions — take off any removable parts, use a soft brush and a neutral detergent, and avoid enzyme-based or strong soaps, which Crocs says can cause yellowing.
Keep them away from heat. Crocs says all styles should be air-dried only, and warns not to leave them in extreme heat or a hot car: heat can make the shoes shrink or warp. On an Australian summer day, that includes the back seat.
Are Crocs good for your feet?
It depends on your feet and what you’re doing in them. The Classic Clog is a light, slip-on foam clog, and Crocs makes separate styles for other jobs — our range includes work clogs such as the Bistro, On The Clock, Specialist II and Neria Pro II. If you have foot pain or a foot condition, a podiatrist can tell you what kind of footwear suits you; no clog is a substitute for that advice.
